Are Japanese sanctions hitting the Russian robot market? What should be emphasised in the development of robotics in Russia?
Dzmitry Tsetserukou, Associate Professor, Laboratory of Intelligent Space Robotics: "In the short term, Japanese sanctions related to robotics will not affect our economy. Russia is currently one of the smallest robot markets among developing countries." However, it is worth remembering that replacing foreign robotics requires a national programme to develop the industry, a highly skilled workforce and good funding. The associate professor also noted that most of the world's major robotics campaigns "came out" of university laboratories.
